  • Ackermann self sabotage was spectacular, that was a lane change and a half

  • Beautiful finish. Lovely to see all the congratulations from the peloton as he made his way through, and emotions from Thomas and Blythe. Cav won by lengths, really nailed it :)

  • OK, so if I understand things correctly it would be bad form to challenge the GC standings on the final day while it's OK for the sprinters to go full on. But how far down the GC rankings does this (unwritten) rule apply? Would it be OK if rider number 54 has a go at making it into the top 50? And how bad would it be if number 12 tries to push into top 10?

  • Giro over. I think it's confirmed itself as the best GT. Amazing racing from the likes of Gee and Healy. I didn't realise Almeida was so young, definitely one to watch. Of course a shame about Tao. I wasn't sure how I felt about such a hard final TT but the top 3 was the same order as the GC top 3 so it's probably a good representation of the overall strongest.

  • Really enjoyed it - agree about Gee and Healy, real highlights.

  • Oh yeah Pinot as well. So good to see him back at the pointy end, that 3 up race in the mountains was thrilling. Hope he's convinced to stay on another couple of years.

  • Would have been fascinating to see what someone like an on form Bernal could do on that final TT. Slower on the flat, but faster split on the climb.

  • Martinez on the back of the moto shouting presumably

His mum told the cycling podcast that he's definitely done. Apparently he can't deal with the pressure that comes with being a relatively high profile rider (in France).

  • Anyone know what this small disc like object on Rog’s knee is? Looks a little like a glucose monitor….

  • It's a plaster.

  • It’s an AirTag.

  • continuous glucose monitor; same thing that faulkner got disqualified for in strade

  • It’s a wound dressing. CGM would never go there.

  • Another option is a communion wafer. He does like God.

  • It’s a portable smoke alarm.

  • Everyone likes Mathieu

  • Sounds like Jumbo are going to be stepping back from all sports sponsorship.

  • Their CEO was arrested and his house raided on suspicion of fraud.

Interestingly, whilst they're stopping cycling, speedskating (both run by JumboVisma IIRC) and motocross, they're going to continue sponsoring Max Verstappen.

Wonder what exactly the fraud was...

  • It's a spare Draughts pawn

  • Wonder what exactly the fraud was...

    Supplying COVID tests to Quickstep.

  • Clearly an Extra Strong Mint.

  • New news or Sept 2022 rehush?

  • Time for Aldi to step up
