Clearly put all his eggs in one basket that it was all or nothing on the last day . He has had two years to plan that .

Glad that GT’s helmet change didn’t lose him the Giro, and that Roglic’s SRAMatic intervention didn’t lose it for him.

Wanted Thomas to win though.

Sad for G but Roglic deserved to win, really kept his cool after the chain fail.

I didn't give a damn who won, but am absolutely delighted for Roglic, particularly given his final TT history. He always seems to have had a bad press, but I've never seen anything to suggest he's anything other than a decent human.

Now, who was it writing him off a page or so back?

I think that may have turned out to be the perfect time trial. Great route, lovely scenery, bike swaps, Sram-dram, and a real punch up for the win. And Sep Kuss, who's just the coolest man.

He's very gracious and level-headed.

Impressive guy, and it's basically like Arsenal this year - second in the Giro is a massive achievement and probably defied expectations, but it looks like he's lost it when really the opponent was ultimately just a bit better.
