Little kitten born near us, by itself. Just trying to workout if there's a mum about still, lots of wild cats here so hard to know.

Here's my new cat. 4 and a half months old. Ragdoll. She's the happiest creature in the world. Needs 2 hrs of tummy rubbing per day. If she doesn't get it she yelps at me. If I go to another room she wants to be carried there so she can observe. I've been taking her outdoors and to shops/cafes on a lead, so she can get accustomed to all the scary noises and smells. Aiming to take her as a passenger on the bike in due course.
This is her at 2 months on the train journey from the breeder to me.
This was the same day at home. Instant bonding!
And here's my last pic of my previous cat, who died on Jan 22. Still grieving more than I can say.

My cats finally arrived home this week after going on a round-the-world trip. I moved from Shanghai to Singapore last year but moving the cats was a total pain. Pets coming to Singapore from China have to quarantine for a month but the quarantine facilities are totally booked up, with an 8 month waiting list when I applied. However pets that have lived in the UK for 6 months don't have to quarantine on arrival in Singapore so that's what we did.
Actual process was this:
- Jan 2022: got cats vaccinated for rabies (requirement to enter the EU/UK)
- March 2022: antibody tests to show that they're vaccinated for rabies
- April-June 2022: the only 2 labs that processes antibody tests got shut down thanks to zero covid lockdowns in China. My vet had to live in the vet surgery during this period!!!
- August 2022: finally got certification
- Sept 2022: applied for EU and UK import permits and China exit permits
- Oct 2022: no direct flights to Europe so flew from Shanghai to Seoul, then Seoul to Paris. Then drove Paris-London.
- Oct 2022-May 2023: cats stayed in the UK
- April 2023: applied for UK export permit and Singapore import licence
- May 2023: cats flew to Singapore
TLDR: I'm a lot poorer now but my cats live in Singapore with me

That's nuts. Are they any worse for wear for all their travel? They seem super chill.

Our 18 month Ginger has been missing for a few days now. Very out of character for him as he's a nervous fellow and doesn't go far or stay out for long.
Hopefully he's shut in a shed somewhere and when neighbours get our various notes they'll find him and he'll scarper home.
Both myself and my wife feel totally hopeless though.

We’ve just adopted our sweet Ragdoll. She’s super cute and seems to be settling ok after a tough 3 weeks.
One thing we’re struggling with is what to do about her access to the front door. The back door is super safe leading into a good size garden and allotments behind, so we’ve been letting her get out there and she doesn’t stray far.
But she is totally determined to get out the front door when we come in, which leads directly onto a busy road, it’s instant death there. But she is so keen she will shoot between your legs out the moment you open the front door. What can we do? She will get run over within 5 mins of being out the front.

Thanks, no sign yet. All the neighbours have been lovely and everyone is on the lookout so hopefully he's found / makes his way home.

He's been found, turns out he'd got himself shut in our elderly neighbours house. He was too scared to show himself and she was too deaf to hear him. He finally got brave enough / hungry enough and came downstairs tonight when she was watching TV and she called us.
Drama over!
