Massive fail. And crisis averted.
It's a mate's place and I was locking up.
The keyring has two keys. One is a funny short flat ended chub key - which is the one I thought I'd broken off. It's not and the other one is the correct key.

Is there a better version of these frame protectors? These Jagwire ones that came with cables keep half popping off. Very annoying.

The sram ones of the same design are much better, but the ones that have faired the best are the Scott ones I found in a bag of bits at a bike jumble. My guess is that their logo is raised so gives them a bit more grip/strength?

The Clarks ones have always worked for me - the ones with the opening that looks like Jaws' teeth from James Bond. Lifeline do some spiral ones that look like they wouldn't go anywhere also (not tried).

Helicopter tape on the frame is the best solution.

Helicopter tape on the frame is the best solution.
It's right in the headtybe though and has a groove so don't think it'll stay on the frame.
I'll take a look at the reccos mentioned above.

Who was the rock star who trolled a session musician by making a dummy recording on which the latter played badly?

Proper beach picnic blankets? Waterproof one side. Easily cleanable. Long life. Wraps up into self contained bag/case/etc.
I remember seeing one I liked the look of a year or three ago (millican?) But open to others. Ideally one that can arrived before the weekend.
Edit: millican appear to have gone out of business but in hindsight i seem to remember the picnic blanket was from another brand and it was some cross promotion. Hunt continues.

Weird. I was going to ask here if anyone knew what happened to Millican. Their website isn't working but still recent Facebook posts. I wanted to find out if they do bag repairs.

I’m sure I seen something like these lever protectors but for road levers somewhere?
The flared bars on my gravel bike make the levers really easy to scuff on walls. I’m having a google fail and can’t get results for them.
Are they real?

So am I. These things were everywhere a few years ago, and now seem to have gone extinct without trace

Got it - the search term is "finger tentacles"

• #117172
Hentai search term?
-
• #117173
I seen wee short ones on a bike, it was like the bike was a bit of a piss take, uber utility type bike with all the gadgets.
Those tentacles are just a bit too sexy for me…

Hentai search term?
Not in the results google is serving to me. Obviously your search history will influence what they're showing you...
