How do I fit a SRAM GXP crankset into a BB30 frame?

You need a bottom bracket that fits a bb30 frame but has space for a 22 mm axle for GXP. Wheels Manufacturing definitely do one, but there are others.

I saw this top one but annoying it’s out of stock. The C-Bear one is a little pricey - you can get threaded GXP BBS for £15-20.

PF30 and BB30 aren't the same.
The wheelsmfg ones have always seemed decent when I've fitted them for people, they're a little pricey but they work well, come with enduro bearings, and you can just replace said bearings for less money in the future if needed -

Sorry, slow to acknowledge... Cheers though, it was reassuring. Also managed to swap the nut retaining the caliper spring for a narrower one (SRAM one was so chunky!) so got about 8 rotations in the end and feeling less nervous...

Update on BB replacement - I have now procured the BB tool and crank extractor, only to run into the issue of 'the damned cranks aren't coming out'. Can get the wrench to turn ever so slightly by getting the wrench and crankarm in a V and pushing them together but ran out of time on the first try and gave up to try again this evening.
Has made me wonder if my dinky 8inch 15mm spanner (I lack a torque wrench) might not give me the torque needed to get the cranks out (I have a slightly longer 32mm headset spanner that I am planning to use on the BB tool, but I have heard BB cups need even more torque..), and am equally worried about reinstallation of the cranks and torquing them to the right spec.. Has me wondering if I really should just have brought this to the LBS!
Lastly, if I rode the bike to work, would it damage the bike to tighten everything back up, take it on a 20 or so km commute home with a potentially knackered BB (not yet diagnosed if it's because bearings are knackered or maybe if it's because BB has come loose after a year, all I know is that there's side to side play)? Other option is to fix it here (have brought the tools in with me)..

Yeah, you'll need a bit more leverage than that.
Fashion a cheater bar or two from an old seat post or scaffolding lying about?
BB is already knackered, another ride or two won't matter.

It is indeed, my adjustable spanner doesn't quite extend to 32mm and I monkey wrench everything bigger. Don't have an old seatpost either - slightly annoying how all tools need you to have more tools!

That's exactly what all the Shimano Shadow Mount derailers do.
Just make sure you install it above any stoppers/lips (whatever they're called) on the hanger.
I lift it right up, tighten a bit and let it drop, then fully tighten.

I just did a set of Fulcrum. The end caps pull off, allowing you to remove the preload thingie and get to the bearings.

Yeah, the rectangle bit is where a pawl would sit and the groove around it is where the retaining spring thing goes to hold the pawls down. Need freewheel remover tool.

I used a combination of QR skewer and sockets as well as the old bearings to press new bearings in.
I really want a proper bearing press set but they're £££

Silverline do cheap spanners, I muuuch prefer just having the right size than using an adjustable, if you do want an adjustable get a ‘wide jaw’ one. Bit more versatile

I have one you can have for ££.
Can't even get the old one back in. I've gone beyond wanting to do this myself. The 'twat the cunt till it's straight' option is the most appealing at this point, so I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow morning.
