OK, that did it. Took out one of the bearings too. Removing the other bearing is just a case of hitting it from the other side with the end of a screwdriver, right?
E2a: sorted. New bearings on the way too. I'm guessing putting the new ones in is just as much of a faff, only in reverse, yeah?
