Private sales really are the way. A brand new, unsized 216570 in black sold for $9999 on Reddit just three weeks ago. None that have sold in the last six months have gone for over 10k USD.

You’ve got to but a bit careful as you’re comparing apples with oranges - @Regal and @Soul ‘s watches were for 216570 but @Dammit’s link was to the newer 226570, which accounts for some of the price diff.
@Dammit I’m sure you know this but C24 or similar sites often are perceived as being priced high as it’s the seller’s opening bid to a big anonymous market with no record of failed offers kept, so there’s no peer or market pressure to keep said opening offer reasonable.
You’ve got to make a call about what one you want - 216570 or 226570. Both are great. Neither are likely to lose you money that I suspect will cause you any worry even if you ’overpay’ (assumption made on the basis of your current collection/history on the forum etc - no offence/shade meant) and quite possibly will end up being worth more than what you pay over time, even if you do overpay now.
If you want a steer on 216570 prices, my one was similar to @Regal’s find (ie an unworn 2020 216570 model) and market price then was about £8k (there was a bit of a speculation bubble at the time because everyone suspected it was going to get discontinued). I reckon £8,750-9000 is reasonable market price for an unworn one of these now. The 2017 one Soul find is out of warranty, so that’ll be a big part of why it’s cheaper
Baseline is RRP, you ain’t getting a discount on a new one, so cheapest you can get for a ‘new’ one is £8,100. Now how much more are you willing to pay to actually get one rather than enter the AD lottery ?

Thanks. I’m really pleased with the Gay Frere style Forstner bracelet on it. Comfy and like the vintage look to it.

The one Dammit linked to was also a 216570 as far as I can tell.

I see the prob - he’s marked the ref as a 216570 but i think it’s a 226570 - no ghost hands

Ah, yeah, you're right, looks like an early 226570.

Isn’t it in C24’s interest that prices stay high?

The incorrect listing reference is probably what’s throwing your “estimated worth” result as is looking at 216570 - try it with a 226570.
Here’s a 2022 unworn one for £9700 in the uk

I picked this up locally last night. Bought it from a fella who said it was his grandads and he was given it in the military scuba .. it's a Heuer 1000 automatic 844/3.. so 42mm It's seems to basically be as new.. sticker still on the back.. Came with box (although Tag Heuer) and instructions.. It's on original Heuer bracelet with diver extension clasp. I've resized it and it's getting it first wear today.

Yes. And I think they used to weight listing price (rather than sale price) into the valuation which also inflated it but increasingly I don’t think they’re doing that, at least not so much.
It’s a bit take it or leave it but I think it’s closer to reality now than it used to be.

Wow. Enjoy!

I have asked the seller to confirm the reference. They have removed “make an offer” from the listing it appears.

Who's copping Hublot x Nespresso then? Artisanal timekeeping meets artisanal coffee.

It’s like the most chaotic evil energy in a watch ever.

Somewhere on another forum, a guy is criticising this design.
