  • Yeah non Ulez and being pre face lift helped with the price but even so it was well below market value.

  • With or without the sunroof, spare wheel, jack etc? I've not had an issue with my roof but many owners seem to bitch about it and DSG gearboxes. Mine's a 6 speed manual, 4X4 with a spare wheel etc. They weren't all sold with spares.

  • 4x4, auto (one of the key criteria for my wife), no sunroof, spare wheel and raised boot floor.

  • sweet promotional van for local cycle cafe

  • decent boot space

    A6 All Road?

  • Still TBC but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get to Copart in Essex on a weekday to get the roof box off my parents R56 Mini.

As the insurance hasn't given any money for the OEM box and bars, I was tentatively wondering if anyone here would fancy driving to Essex to take them. Mainly just for the principle of not giving a penny for £500 worth of RRP kit with a 2nd hand value of ~£250/7% of the payout.

  • On that note. Does anyone have any suggestions outside the following:

    • golf
    • polo
    • fabia (probably too small)

    Criteria:

    • 5yrs old/not too high mileage
    • reliable
    • petrol (sensible engine co2, etc. for parking permit price, tax, etc.)
    • auto
    • 4 doors
    • reasonable boot for an elderly couple
    • not too big to park in London
  • Loving this throwback colour

  • Declaring the mods to the insurance aside, I didn't think insurance paid out for things like extra boot liners, dog guards, mats etc even if OEM unless they were totalled in the crash?

  • I bang the drum for Suzuki Swifts

    forum passim

  • No car at the moment, but check what you need to do as co part have a reputation that is well placed.
Get proof the stuff is there before leaving home

  • Nissan cube, Citroen c3 things seem popular

  • Depends how much you value things like interior quality and nvh. In my experience of owning a grand total of two Audi's... An A3 and our current 2015 A4 Avant quattro is that yes, the tax is real but it's hard to ignore the solid and hard wearing interior that looks and feels great. The unburstable feel on the highway and generally very quiet and comfortable at speed. For now I'm ignoring the high service costs and occasional gremlins.

  • Volvo pig nose?

  • I have no idea!
As far as I could see it carried no identifying logos.
Is a 'Volvo pig nose' military-derived?
(I'm assuming you are attempting to identify that odd 4x4 from Wednesday, rather than just offering a random insult?)

  • If you were to wave the five year bit I’d suggest a Skoda roomster.

  • The Roomster had passed me by when they were contemporary but I drove two in fairly quick succession and I really liked them. A proper TARDIS of a car which I was going to buy before being seduced by a Yeti.

  • 🤣 If it was an insult I would’ve put a comma in there. No it looks a lot like a military Volvo P21 that’s being converted to electric with a kit we supplied. Apparently its nickname is “varkensneus”.

  • Out of nowhere, in a seaside town where nothing happens...first one I've seen in the flesh I reckon

  • Not a real GT2, it's a rebadged turbo? Unless there was an auto option, which I doubt

  • Exterior wise it's identical to any gt2 of that generation. The shift knob got me too though, and i sure hope this is not a poor rebadged Turbo.

  • 6sp manual with no aircon only, so this is not genuine

  • :(
