And you have the oppertunity to make a nice list
-

Sure. If someone, for instance, was selling a load of parts bin stuff but was also selling a nice groupset or swanky set of cranks, two threads would suit buyer and seller alike. Spamming the classified with individual posts feels very much in ‘perhaps the posts should be nuked and a suggestion on thread etiquette given’ territory.

What’s the official forum position on someone posting multiple items up in classifieds and doing them as a million separate posts, rather than a single post?
Just feels a bit spammy to me!
It's a pain in the ass for the poster to do, but genuinely easier and nicer for those browsing as search is more effective, seeing what is sold is easier, etc.
However, for a brief moment after individual items are posted they will naturally dominate the forum view. But it settles down quick enough as other threads are interacted with, etc.
The "no bump without price drop" is the thing that disincentivises crappy behaviour, but posting 1 item per thread is fine.

So I made a snarky comment on the Current Projects thread, so much so +GroggyJoe decided he wanna meet me and yeah keep dropping me PMs.
I can handle it, I don't however wanna be seen to lead someone on.

Unnecessary hurtful comment you could apologise for…
If you got time to write that you got to answer
-
• #19683
Get some screen time off. Honestly.
-
• #19684
An apology would be nice

• #19685
Sheesh, children.
Go ride your bikes.

This is luls.
Unless there has been an edit I just see CE making an expression of his aesthetic opinion. Really not sure what he should apologise for.
CF:
A: I just bought a picture and put it in this frame.
B: I think that looks worse than it did before.
A: Public apology or fight to the death. Now!VB is right, go ride your bikes.

Your first mistake was expressing an opinion on the internet… :-)
-
• #19688
Someone posts a picture of their bike hoping for validation, has a hissy fit when someone points out how ugly they think it is.
Isn’t that a microcosm of this forum?

• #19689
Your a microcosm.

How dare you!!! ;)

We still cool with this guy? So many ads!
And as someone else has pointed out - all his frames are listed elsewhere.I know I've got a bee in my bonnet about this and should just get on with work, drink less coffee and probably spend more time playing with my kids and also exercise more, but surely im not the only one finding classifieds harder to browse as a result of his millions of ads?

• #19692
Maybe they're doing the heroes work and donating to the forum and we just don't know it
-
• #19693
Still think they could consolidate the threads a bit though
-
• #19694
all his frames are listed elsewhere.
Well that's a banning offence, or a warning.
Citations needed, links to external adverts, etc
-
• #19695
Just put them on ignore?

@Chalfie yeah, done. although I was thinking more from the point of view of those with current ads (which I don't)
-
• #19697
Given a warning as it's a long established account.

Fair. Thanks for putting up with my mithering!

This may be a blip but I have been getting the circled symbol instead of a pic a few times today. I’m using Safari on my phone. Any ideas?

Re. Above - I cannot see the image I’ve posted! It’s a question mark inside a box.
@colnago_costa is either a dick or a fool. One "Retro clothing" thread would serve him and the forum better
