I've always been pretty happy with price to convenience/quality ratio of Made. We've got furniture from them that must be 11 or 12 years old and looks/functions great and will likely do so for another decade, even if the company has long since gone.
Yes, but the company has gone, and it's likely that the stuff was overpriced to start with, and drop-shipped from wherever in china. All style, not much of substance.
Re. cost, Heals attracts as much if not more novelty tax surely - I don't really want to buy a McQueen Kingsize Bed for £7,495.
They do, but unlike Made and their ilk they've made a long term sustainable business out of it. There's a greater chance that you'd get what you paid for. Why buy from Loaf when you could get this for the same money.
But they do sell Ercol which is a decent shout @giles337 and thanks also for the naturalbedcompany link which has some nice looking ones - also a way to optionally order stronger slats which may be relevant for us.
Yes - Ercole would be another good shout for something classier. Worth looking at their outlet store.
John Lewis has some good stuff that won't break the bank either.
