I can borrow 3 or 4 from work if you can wait until Monday and can collect from E14 during the day or SE20 in the evening. Or 1 of my own you can pick up from SE20 any time.

I think I can wait till Monday.
Obvs would like to get it glued up sooner rather than falling apart as I ride the kids around…

Going with ltc as they’re dead close.

If you still need, I have straps and exterior wood glue.

I could maybe even ride over tomorrow with them as I need to take mini_com to a play park somewhere.

Don't worry about it, it's no bother! Just shoot me a DM to let me know when and where you're able to pick them up.

The rachet straps from ScrewFix are cheaper than beer / coffee.

Does anyone on here have a yuba kombi I could have a go on?

That looks sketchy. Can you leave a strap on it to prevent catastrophe?

I think I might following this statement.

That's how my birch box works on my bullitt. No glue /fasteners, just a strap. Enables removing the sides for larger objects as well.

Welll... It was glued. I'm guessing the expansion of kids and weather etc.

Speculative bid on an old Christiania bike paid off - so rather than waiting till we've moved house and then trying out a few bikes to see which one works best for us, I've bought a bike we've no room to store at home.
It needs lots of work - what I thought was a black prairie hood is actually a grey one covered in mildew - but I'm going to try a £7.49 bottle of awning cleaner before I buy a £200 hood.
It needs new grips/tape, a brake service and a bit of wood filler (and maybe repainting) but I like it so far.

Nice work. Before you spring for a £200 hood try a chandler’s to see if they can recommend a boat canopy maker. It may be because I live near the broads, but they are surprisingly cheap (sometimes)

Tern are there own mftr, they make a lot of frames for other companies, just like dahon did, still do, dahon is dave terns dads company.
This isn't a bad thing, it just means that the design stage is only rattling around one office, and not bouncing back between different designers /engineers so flaws don't appear until later down the line.
My previous career job was to literally baby sit this back and forth process in the far east between the different factions, a lot gets lost in translation and a lot more gets overlooked by everyone without even knowing it. -

Ratchet straps ratcheted.
Could probably do with trying to get new sides, a new floor, and a bench seat that runs the length of the flat bed for the bike. Rather than sitting the kids side by side.

Hi there hive mind of LFGSS cargo bike thread.
I have a BBSHD on a Bullitt. There's a 27t sprocket on the back. Mounted on a Nexus 5.A couple of times recently the motor has cut out or the battery died. The motor issue has been fixed (or so it seems!) but I have a few longer rides coming up where the battery might not last the day.
When I'm on my own steam, since getting the BBSHD crankset installed it is very sludgy to ride. Even in first and second gear.
I'm looking at putting a 30t on the Nexus to make the gearing easier, so when I do have to pedal myself it's a bit easier.
Anything I need to be aware of with the controller and that? Any settings to be changed?
Conscious that the little sensor mounted on a spoke that measures the speed might have to be moved slightly, if the adjustment in the gearing shifts the axle forwards in the dropouts a bit.
Thanks for any advice. Still a total noob with the Ebike stuff.

having installed a BBSHD im pretty sure that would be it (adjusting the magnet/sensor) but this exact scenario has me looking at big batteries or maybe a dual setup. Was thinking about trying to take my cargo bike on maybe a 1-200km tour

Morning, my Tern S-00 was nicked night before last from our driveway, its the belt drive one.
Usually left inside but put it out there for two nights, covered and attached to an anchor and locked with a big chain in Stoke Newington, feeling pretty stupid. Light blue, with a storm box. Frame number AA10505843. If anyone spots it popping up on classifieds, can they give me a shout? Thanks.
Has anyone got any ratchet straps I could borrow? I need to reglue the madjax box I have. Or some clamping system big enough to clamp while I glue it? Ta.
