They shouldn't charge you German VAT but that all depends on how they are set up for exports.
As non EU residents does this agreement mean we aren’t able to claim back German VAT if bought there?
Getting out of my area of expertise I'm afraid, the vat never gets charged on the stuff I'm importing.
I don't know how easy it is for an individual to claim back vat, must be possible though.
