Going there anyway to see the light other stuff . Do the new rain jackets have a new name or product code ? Apart from upside down zips .
-
• #1178
It will be 'Allroad Rainjacket', or more correctly 'Allroad Pertex Shield Rainjacket', with the previous version being Rainjacket 3.0.

How does the Zoa Lightweight Insulated Jacket compare warmth wise and packability to a patagonia micro puff hoody? I think they're the same material for the most part?
-
• #1181
@pacef8 in mens a bright orange (not neon) and a mid-rich-almost-teal blue, bit like your Berk avatar, and womens is in just the orange.
@jakemcree I couldn't say in terms of warmth, but fabric and insulation is similar but it's definitely different. I'm pretty sure it's not the same face/body fabric but is definitely same ballpark, however, the Patagonia fill is the Plumafil vs Primaloft Gold in the Zoa Lightweight. Think HH Wed eve should start being a regular thing soon, lots should start appearing there if you want to take a look.

Anyone used the patches to repair a slice in a pair of knicks?
Personally I'd just ride around with the extra breather hole but my missus is a bit less "no fucks given" than me.

Yes, would defo be good - if it’s in a high stretch/return area (ie back of the thigh/backside) then use a bigg’un to reduce stress over the area, or cut one down (hot knife or scissors/lighter) to size if needed. If they’re regular bib short material (ie not brushed fleece inner) then you can also use on the inside, and leave a knarly scar-looking bit on the exterior ….anyway! I’ve owe you a DM reply for ages @hippy Sorry my brain > fingers don’t work as fast as yours! :S

Rainjacket zip detail; a small, low-profile zipper runs parallel to the main, single-slider zipper. Invisible when you don't need it, v handy when you do.
(and main zipper has large grab-tabs on slider and pin box, to make locating/engaging as easy as possible with cold/gloved hands)

Nice one mate, I'll tell her to get some of your patches.
Contrast:
I've got a pair of Lusso shorts from 2013 that I binned on a wet corner almost immediately and I've ridden them with a rad "tiger claw" rip across the side for the last 10 years :) -

Maybe the look with come into fashion? like those daft pre-torn/worn/patched jeans?!
-
• #1188
Trust me, nothing I ever wear will be considered fashion! :D
(no offence to your products, it's definitely the model's fault here) -

This is perfectly timed - was scouring the internet for a version 3.0 yesterday but couldn't find a size L anywhere. Ordered the blue flavour, hoping the colour is more akin to the in-use shots rather than the studio photography?
-
• #1190
Yes, looking at those studio shots it is darker, richer irl, more akin to the location shots.
The balance in colours (blue/green) means it’s quite metameric, and will appear different under yellow light (more green) or cool blue light (more, errr, blue).

This probably shows the zip feature better - and the blue tone.

Does it only go half way up? What's the benefit over a 2 way single zip?

Love the new colours!

Anyone have a orange* burner they'd like to move on?
*Think there were some orange ones??

• #1195
I'd also like to snag anyones burners that they aren't actively using !

The pull tab on the lower zip of my Insulated Jacket (1st Gen) went yesterday - just sort of fell apart after zipping up to open the lower half of the jacket. It's probably the most used piece of cycling clothing I own and still looks brand new after buying it used around 2 years ago...
I've bodged a repair with a thin wire ring, but having never replaced a zip before wanted to check if these are kept in stock / something thats easy to DIY repair etc etc? Any info appreciated :)

sort of; the smaller parallel zipper undoes to mid-chest, as far as you need for pocket access and venting), but the tape continues up and then becomes the zipper for a discrete chest pocket.
It means the main zipper has a single slider, which is easier to engage on-bike/gloved hands/numb fingers - team issue jackets have single sliders, to make the jackets as easy as possible to put on - but can still access pockets if/when needed.
We've also got a new cuff to allow a wet, gloved hand to pass through unimpeded, and but still cinches down to stop flapping and cold gaps. On the flip side, it can be opened to gulp air through and dump heat when needed.
Essentially eliminating distractions from any bit of kit, and make it effortless and invisible to use.

@GoatandTricycle hmmmm, Maybe you saw the Zoa Burner Musette? Not sure we've done an orange!
@sqwonk and hmmmm (again); not fudging, but what you've done is probably best - and can send another cord puller if useful to go on the wire coil? Full zip replacement are possible, but they never come out as good at the factory make (unpicking lightweight fabric is tricky) and ideally wouldn't happen unless the zipper teeth have critically failed ....keep me up to speed!

• #1199
Appreciated! Will see how I get on with the ring coil, was a bit apprehensive about it snagging said lightweight fabric, but reckon it should be okay - might try and finesse the bodge with a more pliant wire and see how it fares.

Ah, I have the grey, I just thought orange might be more locate-able 🤣
Yes, but check direct to confirm it will be out on shop floor.
