That's weird as in real life the Touran looks loads bigger.

unpopular and unfashionable
practicality
I feel attacked.
I have a 2007 Mk1 C Max, £4k in November 2020. So the facelifted version of the Mk1 (early 2007 was pre-facelift), the first where they stopped calling it a Focus C Max. Tons of space inside, high driving position like you say. Has not cost me very much in the 2 or so years I've had it. Non-sliding door version but the 2l Titanium spec, which from what I can gather means front and rear parking sensors and a heated windscreen (only half of mine has ever actually defrosted and I can't be arsed to replace the windscreen for that). The non enginey bits are easy to work on too. I fitted a new touchscreen head unit so I could have DAB and bluetooth (even hooked it up to the steering column stalk), I replaced a wing mirror when it got smashed by multiple close passing dicks when parked, and I took the headlights out and polished them.
My model also has a feature where the middle of the rear seats folds away and the two remaining seats slide inwards and back to make a very roomy 4 seater. Never used it as we have a kid's seat permanently in the back.
They're also based off the Focus (B-Max on Fiesta and S-Max on Mondeo) so they're very easy to park.

Sounds ideal. We'll try and get a test drive on one.

If you can get to CR7, you're welcome to sit in a "lived in" one.

Appreciate the offer, there's a couple quite near us so should be good.

I have an old '05 plate. It's built on the Golf platform I believe and just swallows stuff easily, seat height is also quite high too. 3 separate rear seats means it's easy to fit 3x kids seats if you're as stupid as we were to procreate to such an extent...

Is there a filter in the filler neck and is it properly seated? Sounds silly but this caused the same symptoms you have on my Abarth 500, I hadn't considered the fluid wouldn't get into the tank because of that. Appeared the tank was full but was actually empty.

I have this problem with the Skoda, my only annoyance with it.
The rear washer keeps stopping working, and just trying to unblock the jets with a pin or a needle doesn't work, I have to pull the whole plastic washer jet assembly off and give it a good soak and scrub in the sink.
Superb facebook group suggests it's prone to limescale from hard water blocking it up so I should only use premix but that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem because it keeps happening. Quite annoying.

I see @Fixedwheelnut mentioned a dis-assemble and soak in descaler already, that'd be my suggestion too.

Continuing my week of cool old American car spots. Hard to believe this is 74 years old as it looks fresh out of factory, and the colour is soooo dreamy, and ALL THE CHROME! That front bumper/fender is a WMD.

That is very close in year to the base model used to create ZZTop's Cadzilla. '48 vs '49 so it may look oddly familiar.
(yes. I know. 4 door vs 2 door, but....)

I have an inconsistent annoying clunk from the front, happens at slow speed and bumpy roads. Went into my local Audi specialist where they have a ramp which can move the suspension around to find issues. Technician said he can't see anything wrong and even the recent advisories from main dealer shouldn't have been highlighted. They talked me out of replacing control arms at the moment
I guess I just need to let it get worse over the next few months? I love driving but starting to get over sorting things out on cars.

Brilliant. And congrats for finishing! Can't wait for the drive reports.
Nice. That's really similar to my old Mercian.
Fucking loved that bike, but it was just a touch too big and my Condor Pista (which I can't let go) was just a better ride.
