A couple of very good articles on bespoke shoemaking from die workwear

I recently bought a pair of meermin (shoes not boots); really impressed with the quality for price. They seem to do brogue boots although line up and availability is fairly changeable, might be worth keeping an eye on the website or emailing them:

Any recommendations for a similar brown suede brogue (possibly a shade darker would be good) but from a brand that I don't have to import from Spain?

I've become a bit of an Oliver Sweeney fan recently and been buying quite a few bits from them not just shoes. Everything seems really nicely made.

Pretty much perfect, but they don't have 10.5 in stock 😭 Might try a 10 in case they're roomy, but any similar recs much appreciated.
Cheers

Some big discounts on Paul Smith mainly on the more flamboyant styles and smaller or Larger sizes but someone might hit the jackpot on something. Not that easy to find just browsing the website

These are definitely a contender, thank you!

I think they need to be made of cedar for absorbancy - as long as they're cedar, I've always been ok with cheap ones even on relatively fancy shoes

Glad you found some for a decent price. I've always found them fitting true to size so hopefully your usual 10.5 should work for you.

Just got the custom Chelsea boots I was banging on about, over the last couple of pages.
Really happy with them, they are slightly tight over the arch of my left foot, get a bit of a squeeze, but hoping a couple of days of indoor wearing will break them in.
Looking at them I think I could have gone for scarlet for the elasticated gusset and the leather strip (which you can’t really see) down the back of the shoe.
But overall super happy with them..

Can anyone recommend some lightweight leather walking boots? Very narrow fit.

They look great 👍

Berghaus superlite, use to be Brasher, same boot, they're pretty light for a waterproof leather boot.

Danner boots?
I find mine a bit narrow, but very light.
Is there a decent cheaper alternative to Trickers Stow boot? Goodyear Welted in Black ideally (bonus points for grain leather)
TIA
