Many months after posting here - I had my first bass lesson last week and was ace! Made a lot of progress in just that one hour and have just block-booked another four lessons.
It is exactly what I was after - someone in person to help spot issues with technique, give a bit of structure and accountability, as well as start to stretch my skills and learn new songs and theory.
Have started on a reminder of pentatonic scale box shapes to get more confident working up and down the neck.
