What Tyres does this thing take if I may ask?

Can the 56 cannondale museum afford not to have this?
I think not.

Nice six13 on eBay, size 56.
These are always 56ās, see loads of them, and almost never in other sizes.

Thereās an f800 with a lefty on Retrobike at what looks like a reasonable price but itās medium so too small for me.
If I bought it and then found a frame that fits on eBay, probably larger or xl, what are the chances of the lefty fork fitting?
Thereās a large f800 with headshock fork on eBay, do the headshock and lefty go in the same size headtube? Itās not the normal 1.5ā headtube is it? Slightly different I think Iāve read? Also length is going to be critical I imagine so fitting either a lefty or a headshock to a non Cannondale frame is probably more hassle than itās worth?

Similar story with the mountain bikes, hunners of mediums around, very few larger or smaller.
Did Cannondale dealers just buy in 56/medium and talk everyone into fitting on them to save holding stock in multiple sizes?

You say this every time. And then each time I say people like old cannondales and thereās a limited supply. We should make it a sticky on the front page.
Iāve not ridden one of these but the release after this, 2006, comfortably takes 28c. Still my main road bike which does the job perfectly well.
Whatās the best bike you can get for Ā£825 these days?

None of those old forks will be working or serviceable - despite what the eBay sellers may think.

Not in the actual settings, no.

Does anyone know if the CAADX has been discontinued, or there are just supply issues? Current catalogues only show Supersix CX and Topstone (maybe Topstone supersedes it as do-it-all /gravel bike) and can't see them for sale anywhere.

Really? Bummer.
No-one servicing Lefty stuff? Does that mean that even buying a brand new bike with a Lefty fork is unwise?

No-one servicing Lefty stuff?
Tf say they'll do stuff that's post 2006 and not the Occho (Cannondale's current Lefty). The reality might be that unless it's basic seals and new oil stuff, you won't be able to get parts.
Does that mean that even buying a brand new bike with a Lefty fork is unwise?
They only make one Lefty now anyway, and it's fitted to a few of the top end bikes, but yeah it would be silly I think.

Yeah the mtb(s) with it are mental money actually.
Iām meant to be getting a payout at work and Iām spending money before I have it soā¦! Lol.
Iāve already thought about but then disregarded a neo-retro Cannondale roadie due to the tyre clearance issue being talked about here.

There is the Slate from a few years ago and thereās one for sale not too far from me but itās still almost Ā£2k and for a bike with a possibly obsolete fork thatās probably a silly way to blow Ā£2k innit.

CAADX is no longer imported in to the UK, topstone alu has bassically eradicated it tbh.
Also with the CAAD13 taking full guards, why would you buy one?

older ones are 1.56". iirc, they have the same headtube length, except the xl.
there are old leftys that have adjustable lower collars, so can be adapted to different ht lengths, but that means machining. see the end of the first post here:

servicing can be a pain, but there are a few, who are committed :)
Forgive the dreadful pictures but this is the Silk Road when I had it built up:
It's a 56, the shock works, it's in good condition - all there is to say really.
