basically Rapha arguments (and ex Rapha involved with Tracksmith)
Good tights + good branding -
I do think that well constructed and thought out specific gear is a good investment (see PTJ or a Gabba) - I have heard mixed reports on the quality of Tracksmith stuff but some of their essentials products seem to get consistently good reports. Next time I’m in America I’ll pick up some stuff

Do all tights get saggy after 2 months anyhow?
Old Skins stuff before they went out of business and got sold off was amazing. Lasted forever and held you together so well.
