  • Yeah the GMT/41mm BB are pretty hefty, like it hard to stop it from sliding on the wrist, the 39mm BB look a little slabby but don’t feel it.

  • Now theres a gilt dial but a contrast monochrome bezel insert, looks a bit like you damaged it and got a cheap replacement bezel put on.

That is how all the vintage references looked though - the gilt bezel insert on the black dial BB58 is a modern retro affectation.

  • hard ‘no’

Madness. But they like what they like.

Rolex OP in small size sounds like it might be a good shout. Also weaker resale value, so 2nd hand may be an option. Also the small size Omega Aqua Terras. @ejay2.0 might be able to help there.

    Almost like for like too, the 37mm was the deal;

  • Great suggestions. Those aquaracers look great in the smaller sizes.

  • Underwhelmed!

  • This is a bit of alright, innit?

Shame I've not got $28k, and there's only 100 of them. Knocks that new dressy Rolex into a corner I'd say.

  • I agree. Rose gold is not my thing but I can see that being very popular indeed.

    SPRING DRIVE

    Arial… is that you?

  • Hah! No, Grand Seiko have always used some variant of Akzidenz Grotesk for their dial text in the modern era.

  • Love the tapered chisel tipped markers on this.

  • Yeah those markers are hot!

  • Selling this LeCoultre tank watch if anyone is interested £300 for folks on here

  • I bet they don’t glow for long… Good to put a face to the name last night and I’m wearing my 145.016 today to remind me to get to the root of the case size conundrum.

  • Like wise.. The 105.012-65 amazingly does hold the glow for a good few seconds, which for a totally original dial is unexpected. the 145.006 marginally less so.

Your 016 is really nice, who would have known that it was subtly a couple of mm bigger in most dimensions!

  • Thinking of getting a yellow silicone/ rubber strap for this it’s 19mm. Any recommendations where to get one?

  • Watchgecko?

Unsure if they'll do a 19mm rubber strap though

  • Thanks both I’ll take a look, naively thought it’d be quite straight forward!

  • Bit of a long shot - there was an online retailer who sold various replacement parts, hands, faces, cases and bracelets for high end watches but I can’t for the life of me remember who it might be. I think he was U.S based and you had to get a price via PayPal or something odd like that.

Thinking of getting a bracelet as my jubilee is getting very worn and I don’t fancy it breaking on me, nor do I fancy buying a genuine rolex one.
