Don’t you think that banning it will cause even more side effects, as unscrupulous dealers mix whatever they can with it to increase their margins?
-
• #3828
Surely the same applies to all banned drugs? Legalise it and you can tax it and add an element of control to the quality of it.

it can literally leave you paralysed, take away your ability to walk or leave you incontinent

Thought Ridge could have asked Gove some more questions about his coke use this morning. How much, how often, why he felt the nose candy wasn't a resigning matter etc. If we are to get TOUGH on drugs of course.

Proportionally how risky is it versus Alcohol misuse or long term Smoking or Vaping?
What about Poppers? They are highly flammable and can cause chemical burns on the skin, leading to rashes around the nose and mouth. Poppers can cause nausea, headache, and disorientation. In recent years, there have been reports of people experiencing temporary and permanent loss of vision after using poppers.
Definitely ban those.

And bacon frazzles in that case. Highly addictive, and if eaten in sufficient quantity will lead to poor health.
Lets not even get started on the risks of consuming dihydrogen monoxide, for which most people who have consumed it since it's discovery have died, yet it still remains widely available to all.

Quite probably although there'll likely still be a knock-off market of cheap but sketchy stuff?

Fucking loved that YouTube video back in the day.

Doesn't really matter if they ban laughing gas, as it's impossible to get a dentist appointment anyway

If a Tory Peer owned a company that sold recreational nitrous it would never be made illegal.

Its 20p a bottle, the contract already awarded for the removal of the recycling to biffa looks like a brown envelope job and from what i keep seeing its gonna be a wild fuck up and there will be folk ready to scam it on a huge scale.
The full thing is insane and how much its fucking the small companys, but net zero at any cost it seems

What’s the justification for not legalising cannabis in the U.K. ? It seems to be working well around the world in other places. The revenue generated for governments must be incredible.

- Gateway drug
- Increased strength of cannabis over the last 30yrs has resulted in severe mental health issues
- Basica principle of not adding more harmful things into society

I would say that as a supporter of drugs reform and legalisation, I shudder at the idea of letting this bunch of incompetent fuckwhits anywhere near creating the sort of quality legislation you'd need for proper reform.

Gateway drug

Arguably those would be fixed by legalising it.
I didn't mean to imply no risk. Proportionally how risky is it versus Alcohol misuse or long term Smoking or Vaping? Or rather, how much burden on healthcare comes from the use/misuse of each?
If they could monetise steady Tax revenue from Nitrous Oxide use then there'd be a different approach being taken here, no?
