Wondering what sort of cost people have paid for a roof replacement?
The house is on a small terrace, SE London, not very big.
My mum has been quoted a huge sum for a replacement and I can't help but feels she is being taken advantage of a slight...
Would appreciate some anecdotes and all that, and any good honest roofers in SE London. -

huge sum
How big, and what level of replacement? Entire structure or just felt, battens and tiles?
Ours was about £16k I think. Decent sized end of terrace with a bay protrusion on the front, new felt, battens and tiles, new flat roof on dormer, new fascia and guttering, two new/replacement velux.
Seemed like a comparable cost with other outfits, but I wouldn't recommend the company.

I wouldn't touch the guys who did ours with a barge pole, unfortunately. Although there are technically no issues with the work they did, they were dodgy AF.

Yes and no, Keith lives in Welwyn Garden and is 76. He is amazing in both quality and value (also an electrician / electrical examiner) but terrible at Comms and much in demand so it can be hard to get him down.
@Tenderloin what do you want done? I need to get him down to do some stuff for us soon so i can ask if he's interested in your work at the same time?

Any recommendations for plumbers to change a kitchen tap in NW6?
(I'd do it myself but I live 1000 miles away from the house in question now.)
And while we're at it, electricians to fix/replace some non-working outdoor lights
