Like the Omnium and the Orbea, you'll have more luck putting sales stuff in the sales section.

Would this be the right thread for lamp recommendations?
If so I’m looking for a new bedside lamp/reading light. Ideally I’d like the primary material to be wood and it to be minimalist.
If anyone has any suggestions for manufacturers I’d appreciate it. Thanks

Anyone got some nice wall mounted curtain pole tracks - some of our rooms aren't possible to have ceiling mounted and I'm struggling to find nice examples
-
• #4934
Do gliss not also do wall mounted options?
-
• #4935
yeah they do - which is currently the options we're looking at I'm just never sure if they look naff or not

Anyone recommend nice door knobs?
-
• #4937
Are they for a traditional panelled door?
-
• #4939
Yes. Maybe the best door handle ever.

Basically firing my long-collected 'sorted house' shopping list at you and then pasting myself into the photos of your finished house. Not weird at all.

I'm just never sure if they look naff or not
I think not. Or rather, I think there’s an absence of anything prettier so going with optimum function is a solid decision.

I appreciate it - any ideas for front doors?

I had some absurd sleek wooden thing saved but can’t find it right now, will do a deep dive on a laptop tomorrow. It was a bit much (taste, and likely price) which would explain why I may have deleted it.

This is what the current door is looking like - not a fan of these black ornate furniture

I'm sorry, but those Jasper Morrison handles are naff.
This is how they are supposed to look:

On a traditional panelled door? You can just about get away with the Jasper Morrison door knob, but I'd go trad, or even something like the door knobs 6a designed for Izé that were used at Raven Row gallery - https://www.ize.info/product/door-knobs/door-knob--6a-architects-6AK01/ (they're probably mega spendy tho)

If you replace the front door with a fancy new generic one isn't there a risk it won't match the rest of the frontage? Surely there is no 'best front door' and you need something which matches the property? IMO an absurd sleek wooden thing - however nice - wouldn't match the house.
I just don't want you to end up looking like one of the 'after' properties recently posted in the owning your own home thread :P

Does it need to be entirely new? Is keeping the existing door , stripped and repainted , with new hardware and glass not an option?
I'll sure something new will offer better Insulation/ security etc. But a new hard wood door will cost a fair bit

The door is staying (planners have specified it has to) I’m just looking for ideas for replacing the door furniture (which is non original). Door otherwise is simply being repainted to match the rest of the windows
