Apart from the fact that we're meant to believe that a professional journalist doesn't know that the Sunday Sport makes this shit up. Turns the column into a humblebrag that he is actually offbeat sexy.
SS story is funny in isolation though.

Sunday Sport makes this shit up
A good few years ago I worked with a bloke whose mate worked for the Sunday Sport. When a fella was retiring or big birthday, marrying or the such for a few quid he would drop their name in to an article.
It was quite amusing. -

Come on, Chiles needs something to write about. He can't keep putting out articles about how he saw a tomato on a shelf once or how he realised his knees now creak

That tomato one was his Waiting for Godot.

I just watched actor Toby Jones play a dub step set to a room of 1st year drama students, 50 something casting agents and Tamsin Grieg.
Best bits were the students google imaging him and going 'wtf, its Dobby from Harry Potter'.

In hindsight you're right just all a but weird which reminded me to watch Berberian Sound Studio again.
He ticked all the on trend boxes: 6 channel rotary mixer, designer record weights and heavy on the smoke machine. Dressed like a potboy on an old man's pub. Hmm sort of love him more now too.
Played Quantic as his first tune:

Just as a counter point to this and a reminder why you should never, never leave London - I’ve just bought a ticket to see Judge Jules and a live band do 90s dance classics at a village fete.
The advertising says:
Judge Jules has never shied away from pushing the boundaries in dance music.
He’s clearly pushed so hard he’s smashed right through the boundary of not playing at village fetes.
