Planning this route for the start of summer (an optional Finestre leg too). Disc road bike, saddle pack with clothing essentials, food in bar bag etc. So light touring.
Might start and finish in Albertville if I drive and do the Lacets du Montvernier on the way back over the Madeleine.
Any comments? Particularly if the Finestre is worth doing from the "wrong" side. I did it from Susa last year which was an experience but not sure if the 10km of dirt will be fun going down.

Chambery -> Madeleine -> Telegraphe -> Galibier -> Izoard -> Agnel -> (maybe) Finestre -> Mont Cenis -> Chambery
