Looks quite nice. Case, second hand, indices and the applied iwc, it's all great.
But I won't be in London/UK anytime soon and should sell something before I buy.
Especially as I just bought a cheap and nasty eterna to try out a model I am interested in. -

I went to pick a watch this morning and this was showing the right time so decided it was the one to go for.
Turns out it is impossible to photo though, actually has a bit of a carbon fibre effect on the dial

well. that's a good looking gmt. is it a "real"-gmt or an "office"-gmt?

Jumping GMT hand. I wouldn’t get too hung up on that “caller”/“flyer” thing though. It’s something that Hoodwinkee coined (I think it was James Stacey, and he’s rowed back a fair bit on it since, including in his intro piece for this watch), and now everyone seems to think jumping GMT hands are shit and jumping local hour hands are the only “true” GMTs.
It’s the same functionality, one way is just slightly quicker to adjust when you’re travelling and the other way is slightly quicker to adjust when you’re not. For me, flyer is nice to have but isn’t a dealbreaker.

Happened to walk past WoS on Regent Street today and popped in - they’ve had a big refurb downstairs. Took the opportunity to have a look at a couple of Zeniths I hadn’t yet checked out. The Defy Revival is kind of sweet. Very pebble-y shape. Didn’t blow me away though and it seemed overpriced for the overall look and finishing.
The Defy Syline was well nice though. It really surprised me. Felt very high quality. Lovely bracelet. The 10-second subdial is quirky bordering on useless though.

Man that looks good. Bracelet quality looks ace.

I was almost shocked by it honestly. The tolerances are so tight. Dial is really lovely too. Whole thing just felt quality.
Can see them for around 7k new online and in the current market that looks like pretty good value to me.

Only thing is that it looks quite big on your wrist. Or is that just the camera angles?

It’s 41mm so not small and normally that would be too big for a time-only watch for me. But it wore remarkably well. Compare the lug to lug with the 37mm Revival - it’s not that different. I’d wear one pretty happily I think.
There is a 36mm version which I haven’t seen (don’t think they had it at WOS). Would be very interested to check that out now, though I suspect it might look a little small with the way it’s designed.

Nice. Will keep an eye out for one in store.
Still haven't been to a watch shop since 2021.
