Any recommendations for microwaves? Will have to be on the worktop but may try to hide it in a cupboard at a later date. Mainly for defrosting and reheating batch made meals.
Cheap, not ugly and fit for purpose are the main criteria.

defrosting and reheating ... fit for purpose
Panasonic (or LG) are your only choice of brand, in that case.
Panasonic has the patent for inverters (LG licenses it).
This means that the power is modulated - half / quarter power etc... actually is half / quarter power.
Any other brand would be full power for half / quarter of the time, or just off with the lights on and plate spinning.

Whatever you go for, look for li-ion. Will charge quicker and last longer between charges. Usually.

Which?'s choices are -
a Comfee Analogue* microwave at £75
Panasonic rotary £248 combi
Toshiba £57 microwave for value
£479 Panasonic flatbed microwave -
• #1165
Panasonic rotary £248 combi
I have this (although it was about £100 cheaper when I got it)
https://www.currys.co.uk/products/panasonic-nnct55jwbpq-combination-microwave-white-10178716.htmlMicrowave is good but the oven/grill is average at best. If you have space and want an extra small oven an air fryer does a much better job.

Yes. I am a baldy so use to shave head as well for longer than I care to mention. As a result I've been through a lot of these over the years. Wald seem to be OK but I've found them not very durable and ended up having to bin them sooner than expected. Currently have this which is still going strong for at least 5 years probably more:

Fuck do you move anything like that in a house old ones about 30kg. Ridiculous
Get a man in.
Reminds me of an occasion where I had a fairly sizeable safe in a data centre that needed to be moved a few feet. Three of us tried to shift it together and failed so we called a safe moving company.
We expected them to turn up with some kind of mechanical hoist but in the event they just sent a 6'6" bloke with a torso like an oak tree who then proceeded to lift it up and move it like it was a toy. And then billed us £250.

Do any of you induction folks have anything like this:
Preferably something not corrugated, for cooking all the burgers.

Pretty impressed with the Haier washing machine we got, seems to be like the Hisense TV with all the bells and whistles for not alot of cash.

I went for this trimmer in the end. Happy to report; well priced, nice to handle, batteries good, I’ve charged it once and used it 3 times and still has plenty of juice.

Any recommendations on a toaster that is decent and not pricey, plus not white plastic!
-
• #1173
I have this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002CMLTXG/
Works fine on my hob and is decent quality. Normally use the smooth side, only thing is I'd like a slightly higher lip as it can sometimes get a bit near to overflowing with fat. -

Salter Nero. - not white. Not pricey. Does pretty good toast and crumpets.
The price although expensive wasn't the real issue as it'll last forever most probs, the problem was the weight. Fuck do you move anything like that in a house old ones about 30kg. Ridiculous
