Anyone ever lost and replaced an urban arrow battery key? What did you do?

Isn't that the really heavy one?

Yep! Get to a dealer or somewhere with the Bosch software, they should be able to plug it in to find the battery serial number. Fully Charged did it for me once, I can't remember if they ordered the key for me or if they just told me how to do it through Bosch. Got it done either way.

Kinda true, the key serials are nothing to do with the battery or drive unit, you’re relying on someone manually punching them in before sale to be accessible from the diagnostic. They’re also sometimes available from the receipt / invoice too. (Just pointing out so people don’t get complacent, always write down ur own key codes!). Replacement keys will be ordered through Abus too
If not there you need to buy a new battery lock (and a new Dutch lock if you want your keys to be matching still)

my Abus front wheel lock which has matching key for batt lock broke, I contacted Fully Charged and they wanted me to book the base service for this which is like £75+VAT or something. Is it something I cant directly do with Abus? 90 quid feels like a pisstake.

afaik to get another pair matching you'll need to order a both locks together as a complete replacement (i don't think they make locks based off an existing key but you can ask). to get the battery mount lock you may have trouble finding that anywhere except from a dealer, so therefore you'll have to order the wheel lock from them as well. haven't had to source any parts or order for over a year so things change. cheap option would be to buy any wheel lock that fits and mount that, and live with 2 different keys
in terms of replacing them you can almost certainly do it yourself. on the UA its a 10/15-minute job assuming nothing goes wrong. I don't know what bike shop pricing is like these days but possible what FC wants is standard for this work - also I've never done on a tern so i don't know how long it'll take.

this is the conclusion I arrived, took the lock off the bike and now just carry another small chain, works fine
my concern is if/when the battery one goes, i guess then I have to stump up the money

No electronics to disconnect and re-wire?
Could you point me in the general direction of a trusted dealer?
Done a bit of googling ad I'm not clear if I need just the metal mechanism or the whole lock+plastic housing assembly.
Your help as ever is much appreciated :) -

no electronics, thats in the lower part. the upper part is just lock / mount. if your plastic bit isn't damaged you can reuse it.
Not really able to recommend anyone, soz have never dealt with any shops!
IIRC pretty sure anywhere with a Magura B2B account can order the part though.

Southgate to Putney Bridge & back today. 33 mile round trip is the longest I've done on the UA. All I can say is props to the pros that do this for a living. Had to keep it on "Eco" (min) & "off" power setting and had very little battery power left and rather knackered!

Ha! Probably would help tho it's only 3yrs/9700miles in so I'll persevere.
Annoyingly the e-tandem we'd earmarked last year with Bosch mid drive was a horrid ride so we went for an Orbit with Shimano power - so can't interchange batteries.
Anyway, I'm mostly doing 10-15miles a day so not an issue.
Brilliant! I wonder if it's too late to swap my dog for a smaller model.
