I'd always loop out after a few pedals
This is why you use your rear brake.
I grew up doing MTB trials, so spent half my childhood on the rear wheel. I'm having to relearn them on my current MTB because the front wheel is about a mile in front of me, and the chainstays put the back wheel somewhere in the next county

I know the "how to" of wheelies. It doesn't mean I could apply it.
I'm no good at holding the balance point. I was into it though, I once had the most realistic dream of holding a manual all the way down my street. It felt so real and I was so fucking annoyed when I woke up and it turned out to be a dream.

Don't think I've tried to do a wheelie since I left my MTBs in Oz. I've been too busy folding forward getting tucked, maybe I should give it another go. I never really made it more than 10-20m in one go - I'd always loop out after a few pedals. Who's here has got a sick wheelie?
