It's an incredible guitar! Really looking forward to seeing it restored to its full glory. Good call having it seen by a tech as being without strings for so long can make tensioning strings a bit of a trauma for a guitar that isn't used to it anymore, so will need a bit of attention no doubt and quite possibly will need some truss rod adjustment a couple of weeks down the road.
And speaking of the tech, does he come well recommended? I'm not far from Finchley and my Jazzmaster is due some TLC, including possibly a new nut, so interested to know what your experience is like in terms of service and price!

Luckily the neck was still straight but he said he’d want to see it again a month after I pick it up for that reason.
