[EDIT -For some reason I'd thought I'd bought a refurb but looking back it seems they replaced mine for free.]
I got my 945 replaced for free by Garmin due to battery problems (it was ~22 months old at that point) and it's been great (barring the recent battery problems that were fixed with a firmware update).
2nd June 2020 - Bought first 945
1st Apr 2022 - Contacted Garmin about poor battery life
1st Apr 2022 - They offer to replace it for free, sent off existing 945
5th Apr 2022 - They received it
6th Apr 2022 - They posted the new one
8th Apr 2022 - Received replacement 945
Even if you didn't want to keep it you could get more than £130 on eBay for it, that's more than you'll get for your existing 945 if it's broken.
