I think they are amazingly cheap considering how nice they are!

Good question, I would imagine it is, but haven't looked at it in years..

Alsal gave this a tickle for me and now it runs a bit closer to its former chronometeresque glory. Good enough anyway (ie, not -45s anymore).

Just looking at this today made me wonder when Tudor switched to using a rose on their models (which my Black Bay has) and then back to a shield (which modern Black Bays have).

How long after buying a brand new watch (Pelagos) should I think about getting it serviced?

5 years?
Fairly sure that's what is in the manual.

(Edit: actually, fairly sure I made that up)

I’d say at least 7 years with the new movements if you don’t have any issues. I’ve heard Tudor recommends like 10 year interval, but yeah…

Has anyone got a pelagos 39?
Had some spare time the other day by a shopping centre outside Bristol. No able afford one but I like watches so went to the tudor boutique - no pelagos 39 to try on, waitlisted. Went downstairs to Frazer Hart and they let me try one on which was allocated to a customer. It was lovely.
Tried the normal pelagos on too and it is so thick.

Back from an overhaul. Nice and clean, smooth running and with a rejuvenated alarm bell.

I think these fly too far under the radar as interesting older watches. And the blue of the dial is just outstanding. And a cushion case too.
