  • New, fatter tyres and new bars for my Pomp. Really enjoying this at the moment. My road bike is gathering dust!

  • anyone got an old pompino in the states, size small, to sell? or is my best bet planet-x?

  • That's very cool! I like that loads.

I've just picked up a kona paddy wagon and plan to do this sorta thing with it for commuting and such

  • Oh nice! Those Konas are great, always fancied one. Yeah it's a really fun set up for commuting/getting about on. I'm half tempted to slap some drop bars on it if I can get the bits I need cheap. Although I do like the fact that it's pretty different to my All City as it stands. Maybe both of my bikes having drops would be less fun.

  • Picked this pomp up from @Chalfie last summer to build as a parts bin commuter, WIP but its had some guises.

  • Looks good!

  • good one. genesis fork that is, right?

  • This is great. 2 disc brake pomps with Brixton Brewery stickers on the same page as well. 2023's hottest bike trend.

  • Thanks! Yeah, nabbed from an old Croix De Fer

  • I've only just clocked, this is brilliant. Can't not take at least a handful of em when you're in there.

  • Any idea what the fattest 650 tyres you can fit in the back of a pomp are? Much difference over 700 or are you limited by the clearance at the chainstays?

  • I had 650x43mm on my Pompetamine with room to spare. 48mm should be doable without mudguards.

  • Hmm, I've got 700x38 with guards in there at the moment (just). Definitely keen to keep the mudguards so probably not worth the expense and hassle for a slight increase.

  • And I do need to stop messing about and spending money on bikes which are already excellent.

  • Fair enough. Welcome to try mine for size if you like.

Also, what is your bar/stem combo?

  • That's really kind of you to offer, thanks! I'll leave it for now though. I really shouldn't be messing about with what was meant to be a budget build.
The bars are Bontrager Satellite, they're a really nice shape and weren't too pricey. I was tempted by the Ritchey Kyote but they were twice the price. The stem is a handmade M_V special!

  • Yeah Mulo frame would be the easiest..even if the colour is shit..

  • Quite fancy a 5th or 6th iteration of a Pompino. Any selling a L or XL?

  • The mulo is nearly finished, just need to sort the brake out

  • hi does anyone know of a budget straight blade fork that would fit a M Pompino V4 please ?

  • That mulo looks great.

If they just had disc brake tabs on the back and were spaced 130-135....

  • I found that a bit odd that they went cantis over disc. Also, there were disc brake prototypes for sale on their outlet eBay account.

  • Get and Omnium CXC instead?
