I imagine part of the API lockdown is to defeat the tools that have sprung up making it easy to find your contacts on competing platforms like Mastodon, as well as forcing you to consume the ads on the official Twitter page.

Apparently he was outraged that Biden's Superbowl tweets got much more attention than his. Guess he's still smarting and asking his followers to reassure him that the whole of the Twitter user base lives only for his content. And allegedly shouting at Twitter engineers till they tweak things so that his tweets always get more views.

I got the message this morning. It's only 2fa via text message that's being removed for non-subscribers, am now using google authenticator.

Which is a much safer method than SMS 2FA. Still an odd move.

Some of the SMS providers (such as Twilio) have had long outages recently, not being reliant on them is a good thing.

Since they blocked my preferred Android app, I've pretty much stopped. I only logged in today to try and find a comment I may have posted about SQL Connection caching from 2020. I couldn't find it. Had a look and it's just shit roads, war, shit driving, shit UK, Mark Wall berg with a cross on his face..
