Thanks for that, like that and it reminds me of the Hanhart 417 ES I have been looking at too

My favourite is the green as well but considered the black. It's received such rave reviews its really hit the mark with its target market. I think the green sold out in 3 days or something so a huge success which i think makes that new ad direction questionable. Be keen to see yours have you got a firm date yet?

I’m also trying to buy this in for my preowned stock.
I do like those dynamics, have done since release. Complete with all paraphernalia?

You can always contact Simon Freese, he is ex STS, and used by many Omega collectors that I know

i am going to sell my speedmaster reduced (39mm) if that tickles your fancy? EDIT: just seen all the other comments regarding the reduced
does need a service though (on that note; anyone used watchrepairuk? seem good value vs STS etc.)

Lovely
Don’t mind that strap on it either tbh.
It has the ‘proper’ second hand on it as well, for some reason a lot of the red tipped second hands seem to have been removed over time, from a lot of Smiths.

Thanks. I’m really enjoying it! Was a bargain too. Weird how you can spend well over a grand on these, or well under a hundred, depending on where you go…

A lot of Smiths seem to get sold by two types of people.
The first one has read two web pages and decides its worth a grand, the other just sees an unremarkable watch with no obvious or fashionable trade name, so a watch of limited value. It does create an interesting market for them though.
The English ones are lovely watches IMO and the 17j CS Astral/Smiths Astral divers, 19j Imperials and 25j Everest Autos are mostly fairly priced I reckon. The 15-17j lines under that are lovely but prices are really subjective as you say.
The Welsh ones deserve to be cheap (unfortunately) but some of the fun Swiss and Japanese models are pretty good bargains for something different, but even there you seem some outrageous asking prices from sellers.
All good fun though eh.

Been wearing this every day since it arrived. All day comfort is amazing. Beach in the background is Freshwater beach in NSW, only a few beaches away from it's spiritual home in longreef... Should head up there for surf next week.

Been trying out a smart watch for the past couple of weeks (originally got it for running without my phone as it has bluetooth and gps and was a lot cheaper than dedicated running watches).
Nice in that it has 20mm spring bars for swapping the strap and isn't too bulky but battery life is pretty crap and the turn on when you lift your wrist thing is very hit and miss. Also barely use the smart functions. Won't be persevering with it I don't think.

Enjoying how invisible the Timex finally felt.
Strap incredibly dirty due to workshop environment annoyingly.

Not blurry either. WTH? I do like that though. I have two cushion cases out for major servicing. Can't wait to get them back into this thread and bring them back into fashion.
In the meantime...

You know what I think is worth looking at - the Blancpain Léman flyback chronos from the 2000s.
Eg: https://www.chrono24.co.uk/blancpain/leman-flyback-chronograph-2185f-1130-63-c-2010--id27251782.htm
38mm (there was even a 34mm version), automatic, high quality flyback (obviously) movement with date, was also offered on a bracelet if that's important. There are white dial variants as well.
