That load is impressive

I have one, and they are legit awesome. specifically I have a non e one with a Swytch bike kit (but imagine the mid drive is a bit better.) For comparison I also have a 2 long johns, a long tail and a 3wheeler cargo bike in the family fleet. They basically make a great little cycle truck. Overloading the front rack can get a little sketchy ( I had a big custom bag made to carry a full shopping trip) but balanced out with a heavy duty rear rack and balanced load and it feels very confidant. I even took it on a camping tour last summer as I could be a camping maximalist (handles gravel tracks fine LOL) Best feedback I can give is size up on tires (2,4" fits but you will need different fenders) feels bullet proof in the city. 10/10 would recommend.
I will be honest though that my longtail has more or less replaced the Katu but only because it does more of everything with a longer range (bigger battery) but im still keeping it around for the time being.
Out of everything the bikes that are leaving are the long johns, just too much bike for what we need (only 1 kid)

Anyone have any leads on a source for 36h 20” rims? Usual suspects of SJS and Spa for weird and wonderful components won’t have stock till June…
Want to build a Dynamo wheel with existing parts and don’t really need the whole package!

That sounds pretty ideal. Is it disk or rim brake ready? Ideally looking for disk (yes I’m a bike tart) to match the rear. Also 20” is what ETRO, there’s a few out there and looking for 407

Amazing! 406 ETRTO? Or 438/451…

Yes, most proper bmx rims will handle everything a cargo bike will throw at it.

Anyone got a need for a Surly Deck Bar? I’ve got one too many all of a sudden. Obvs a v easy fit for a Surly, but expect it could be fairly easily bodged on to many a longtail. Brand new, would do 50% off the cheapest posted price you can find.

Definitely keep that quiet.

FWIW, I'd probably slide them further back. Pulling out of a give way junction won't be a lot of fun with that much sticking out of the front.

It was ok in the end. Felt like driving a truck though.

Any more information on that trek?
Friend of a friend helped with it's design. Said it was a game changer... I was skeptical. I'd like to see it. -

We have an Omnium Mini Max, a Butchers and Bicycles and a Katu-E which my partner uses. She previously had an Omnium Mini but prefers the Katu.
It has Bosch Active motor which is basically silent with no resistance, and looks pretty good too. We originally bought it for us both to use but I’m 195cm and whilst I can ride it, I look ridiculous on it, so don’t.

Given how light they are I'd just strap them to the side beams of the cargo bed or top tube with voile straps. For really big stuff I put outriggers of a sort on the bed and then strap the lengths down on those (need to be reasonably balanced either side)
