Yes! I am def not the first to do this... But maybe on a seat tube top tube joint I am?

Might be! The combination of decorational metal work and no lugs must at least be relatively uncommon.
It´s a nice distinguishing touch that shows that an active choice has taken place about how something should look vs. the work involved =>I think it looks good! -

I has an article for you!
Replace Architecture with Framebuilding, shelter with steed and space with frame

I put frame pump on top of toptube.
Not good when standover is minimal obviously. And looks stupid.
Inside framebag also works.
Basically just talking myself out of buying more pumps. -

This Kahn guy seems to know his stuff, makes me think about Aleutian kayaks.

Gooooood day in the workshop only slightly interrupted by actual work meeting.
Waiting for some chainstays to arrive so couldn't continue working on @Tijmen s MTB. Instead I started on my daughter's new MTB.
I previously made some shorter forks for her green bike before deciding on bigger tyres. Forks are Kona P2s which I managed to save by chopping the fork legs off and reusing the dropouts. I used a 25mm stainless tube for new fork legs and did a lugged style unicrown mini version of a pair of Steve Potts forks. I am really pleased with how they turned out

Feels like a year ago I bought this on here. It finally arrived. Enigma Ethos in Columbus spirit/life mix. Very nice frame and for the money wouldn't be able to build anything else close. And geometry is spot on for me.
First issue is that seller said it came with a headset and the headset I have here is incomplete. Not sure what happened but that's a bit of a bummer.

So I wasted some time making a new top for the PMP headset out of a FSA top thingy.
The PMP headset is a bit clunky so I decided to put this on our balance bike and then reclaim the CK I got on there...

The pewter CK from the balance bike has lived a rough life. The top bearing was missing four balls. I suddenly realised I have a single CK bottom bit for a giant head tube standard I will never ever use. I decided to do some surgery. Balls were the same size and voilà I have a functional CK.

Enigma is looking great already
I can squeeze my frame pump between my top tube and a frame bag. Worth giving a go before you buy anything new!
