A couple of years ago I got my supplier to move the meter as it was less than 1m. They quoted for free and charged £400 I think.
Move it once. Change supplier. Move it again. Man stuck it to.

Yep thanks this is the route I’m going to try and go down! Bulb have said the same and they will move it up to 1m. Would be £185 but they will do it for £60 if I switch to a smart meter. I’ve put the request in, but i fear I’ll come unstuck somewhere and they won’t move my pipes or they’ll say it’s too old or something but let’s see.
I asked the girl on the phone if I could move it 1m, then move it again. She laughed. Once the engineers are out though I’m sure they could be persuaded to go another 50cm…
