I know annoying. Yeah am sure you’re right, it will likely be to limit the payroll admin in big companies which is prob a bit of a nightmare.

Canyon too though, weird they don’t let you bridge the difference.

Mine is the white one above, the wheels feel like anchors!

I always liked SRAM mechanical but eTap just didn't do it for me

I like the white, I think silver edges it but it’s a few grand more. I have those wheels on mine atm, I’d like a shallow set too.

^^^^ also love the alpecin colourscheme and I’d have gone for the alternate alpecin version on the cf sl aeroad, but if I do ever get another c2w opportunity I’ve had my head turned by the Dolan ares who have come up with a very similar design…

I’m having to have my Ultimate scanned hoping that doesn’t make the decision more urgent.

It's been confined to my turbo ATM so not really put it through its paces. Not exactly been impressed with the paint coverage. Some fell off around the rear drop out already!

Anyone here with a Grizl/Grail with DT Gravel LN wheels had the pleasure of the entire rear freehub body just falling straight off the wheel with the cassette still attached, requiring you to look up the DT technical diagrams so you know the correct order to put the sprigs and ratchets back? I’m still not convinced that it won’t happen again… gave the drive side end cap a whacking, but not sure what else to do. The wheel still exhibits a lot of sideways play at the hub… 😒

Yeah this is a thing. Take it apart, check the seal with the oring on the end cap.
If you put it back on with the cassette on feeehub make sure you don't trap the springs between freehub and body and damage withers face.

Here's my second Canyon, which I bought last week. It's currently off with the Seatpost man for seatpost removal (I think a previous owner either used normal grease - or no grease with the post...), and, assuming that checks out OK I'll be building it up with period 11 speed Chorus.
