Ooo how do you make a bauble?

Looks like polystyrene ball with fancy bits pinned to it.

Made a cavernous tool bag. Plywood liner on the bottom, external pockets all round.

I have an idea, but no way to carry it out. Recycle old down and insulated jackets into a blanket. Is this a feasible idea?
-
• #2133
^ possibly, although if the jacket no longer useful as the down no longer lofts then it won't make a great blanket as that relies on the loft too.
Edit: tennis ball in tumble dryer can reinvigorate loft though apparently?

They loft ok, just getting too scruffy to wear, lots of patches etc.

Just the thing for collar studs and cufflinks. How did you do all the cutting? Must have taken ages. Looks really great. You could fill the drawers with gold and be buried with it, like a pharaoh. When the aliens come, after we're extinct, they will think you're our Leader.

That's Velocio.
It was laser cut. Much easier.

Months and months ago I asked on this thread if anyone could make me two turned wooden handles. @moocher stepped up and very kindly made exactly what I wanted out of some reclaimed oak, stairway spindles I think.
They were for making a set of rowing umpire's flags. I had set myself the challenge of making my own set and, amongst other things had to learn how to sew with a machine. Anyway after quite a bit of practice and many errors here is my first completed set made with moocher's handles: heavy cotton cloth, sapele dowels and oak handles.
As I wasn't able to turn the handles myself, my next challenge is to learn how to work leather and make leather grips for the next set.

What about a laptop back? Rucksack style but really minimal. Laptop and some cables and a headset.
-

I would like to (try to) make a rucksack.
But working on a wrist rest right now, then got to finish off a wall panel project, then do a half frame bag for a friends birthday.

Let me know when you’ve got time we can thrash out the details.

Wrist rest. Will undoubtedly make me a better worker.
