Not sure if it applies to you but we needed planning permission to extend our house. The building control guy was around twice to inspect the foundations. He was very interested in ‘the hole’ before any concrete was put in it.

We've sorted the planning permission, just need to build the thing now. I was hoping I could just take pics of the foundations and have the building control guy only get involved when the proper work starts on the main house. I'll chat with our structural guy and see what he reckons. Ta.

Good stuff! My concern was you were planning to pour concrete etc without any inspection. Good luck with the build.
