Thanks. How did you work out the size of the piling tubes? 300x600 x12 seems a lot but then again I don't know the size of your garden room. We're doing a lot of stuff with our architect still though so i'll tap him up for his recommendations.
Not sure if it applies to you but we needed planning permission to extend our house. The building control guy was around twice to inspect the foundations. He was very interested in ‘the hole’ before any concrete was put in it.
I used 12 concrete filled cardboard piling tubes (300mm ID x 600mm deep), with high strength concrete & reinforced with rebar.
The floor frame rested on adjustable base pads (each with a load limit of 1,400kg)
Overall cost was ~£500 iirc.
