  • Hmm. Think I know this but I'll defer and let someone else have a pop.

  • A guy called gerald

  • Lemonade?

  • Or Hot Lemonade I think it was called

  • You may well enjoy United by fate by Rival schools which is another band fronted by Walter Schreifels of Quicksand.
I think United by fate is one of his finest albums
    @greeno

  • I love quicksand their recent stuff is awesome. Found this a while back on YouTube with Walter in some tiny place in Japan playing landline spring with some local hardcore guys, they look like they’re loving it

  • 👍
Rival Schools playing Camden Ballroom later in the year

  • This is one of my favourite albums, and one that really needs a vinyl re-release as it costs a fortune on Discogs - Hats by The Blue Nile.

  • Yeh, it's up there. All their albums got a re-release a few years ago. I picked up Hats, A Walk Across the Rooftops on vinyl. Wished I'd grabbed the other not quite as good but still amazing one....

  • I know its not my turn, but I’m opening boxes and this is one of my all time favourites:

  • The cover, I’m lukewarm on the album TBF.

  • You made a good investment - decent condition copies are going for upwards of £150.

  • It's a funny game tho. You never know when a re-press is round the corner. I bought the MBV re-releases a few years ago. Got two Loveless; one to play and one to keep. Some guy offered me £200 for the sealed copy and then it got a repress 2 months later!

  • I was complaining to my mate about the difficulties of getting Loveless, and he dug out his copy and gave me it. I told him how much it was worth and tried to refuse, but he was adamant that he'd never get round to selling it and didn't like it much. He's a very good friend.

  • Lent my mate my copy of “ambient works 85-92” (original) and maybe ambient works 2?

Guess where he left them one day?
    In his hatchback.
    In the sun.
    In Nashville summer.

The warp (ha!) is not so bad and I didn’t ask him to replace it as we were both broke and what’s the point of ruining a friendship?

  • Wow, haven't looked for a year or two, but currently on at Discogs the original Belgium vinyl is:
    Lowest: £54.00
    Median: £143.33
    Highest: £308.56
I wouldn't sell mine, but you have to wonder when prices for '90s electronica are going to peak - who is spending £300+ on a record??

  • Dickheads. That’s who.

  • Ok. As you pushed in and the thread stalled I've cheated to get this. Took a while as I thought it was Simon Day in some Fast Show thing.

    It's George Melly - Nuts.

  • Fair, just had to get it out of my system.

  • Baby Ford - The World of Baby Ford.

Not a patch on Ford Trax though

  • Correct! Should have known you'd get that 😂
