17 days is daft though. I've bought plenty of sale stuff from other places and it's all arrived within a few days.

Because they state they can meet demand at time of payment... why is that the buyers fault that they can't?!
Why is it entitlement of behalf of the buyer when the supplier isn't upholding their end of the deal as stated?!
No one is blaming the warehouse staff etc, it's Raphas issue... they know they have a sale coming, plan for it... this is fairly basic economics

Everybody join hands and say a prayer for the all the poor people who are not getting their cheap/not so cheap crap from Rapha delivered in a timely manner.
We are here for you in your time of need.

Jesus wept... I get that its hardly the end of the world. The point I'm trying to get across is its not an act of entitlement to expect and online retailer to stick to their end of the effing bargain when it comes to sales... or is it?!
I'll just leave it at: "I bought some shit from these twats and I'm still waiting.. wtf?"

Contrastingly, I just made a Sigma order this morning and apparently it'll be delivered tomorrow. They do force you to pay £4.99 regardless at IPP though.

An anecdote in an attempt to derail this thread into web store postage chat:
In a purchasing experience I doubt I will ever see bettered, I bought some items from a niche Munich-based outdoors store a month or two back; with the transaction going through at 14:30 it was in my hand at 10:30 the following morning. They only offered one postage tier and it was €30 though.

Pah, I ordered something once from Paragon Machine Works in California on a Friday evening, and it arrived first thing Monday morning. I paid a lot less than €30 for postage too.

See, this is the quality content this thread should have more of.

I once went to a shop and bought something and when I walked out it was already in my hand
-
• #37538
what, a real life in person purchase?! unheard of.
-
• #37539
pre-covid I assume?
-
• #37540
how much did it cost to go into the shop?

• #37541
I wish Rapha had shops :(

it's cycling gear bought on sale - it's not that important, and while sure be miffed, I'm certainly not saying you can't be, my point was that the aggregate griping seemed a little out of line with the importance of the items being waited on. A little perspective wouldn't go amiss. You here seem to be spitting feathers - over what? is it medication for your kids? Is it a part for some crucial machinery? are you depending on this delivery?
Also - you sure of your maths? Has it been 17 days since the 28th? Are you counting bank holidays?
Sigma are usually great, I waited 13 calendar days for dispatch after buying something late in the black friday sale, and cared not a jot despite it being too late for one of my few long rides of the year.

• #37544
is it medication for your kids?
It's Rapha.

• #37545
Don't hold your breath, I ordered some bibs from them on 3rd Jan, and am still waiting. They've been sent now apparently, and parcel is in the hands of Evri, which is as reassuring as a kick in the bollocks.

• #37546
I'm usually a miser and begrudge the forced £4.99 so would normally ride over and collect, but I cannae be fucked for once. I can wait; it's not medication for my kids.

That’s the spirit

My Rapha order, placed on December 29th, arrived earlier this week. Very generously, Rapha also included some complimentary medicine for my kids. Which was nice.

How many days before they are better/ die?
I’m on day two, no update.
Why is it utter nonsense? You ordered stuff at sale time, of course it’s going to take longer as order volumes are higher.
