  • Help me decide…

Brevet insulated jacket or Pro Team insulated jacket or Pro Team winter jacket?

  • As long as you're not pootling then Pro Team Winter Jacket, altho I only see it in v dark colours

  • The insulation is the same more or less. Brevet is insulated at the back, pro team isn't.
    From memory

  • Specialized Trail Pant is good. Got a pair, love them, best riding trouser I've ever had. Maybe a bit too MTB though for lounging.

Have a love/hate thing with them, like they're almost perfect, pending the perforations.

  • Rapha's current order dispatch times at the moment are a joke

  • Yes, have been waiting since the 30th for an order to be posted. Websites says 7-10 days. Are they really busy with orders or lack of staff?

  • The sale usually whacks the dispatch times with a big stick. 7-10 days is normal times, not sale times.

  • I used to work very closely with warehousing/3PL services so can probably understand some of the reasons why, but its still a shit customer experience that's then compounded further by using evri for delivery

  • its still a shit customer experience that's then compounded further by using evri for delivery

I do wonder if firms like Rapha realise how much their 'premium' image is destroyed, or at least dented, by using crappy firms like Evri as part of their 'retail experience'. I can just image the conversion between the executive at Rapha and the management consultant:

'We charge a premium price because we provide a premium product and buying experience.'
'And who do you use to ship your online orders?'
    'Evri'
    [Jackie Chan mind blow face]

  • I’m guessing not enough people care who delivers their parcel?

I think I’d struggle to identify which delivery company(s) now offer the best service, in the quagmire of offerings.

  • Many high end brands stuggle with delivery issues and delivery times. Probably the premium logistic firms overtated their capacity. I have issues with premium/luxury brands giving shit about a customer. All you can do is looking for alternatives

  • I’m guessing not enough people care who delivers their parcel?

I suspect few people care who delivers their parcel. I suspect many care about who completely fucks up delivering their parcel or makes a complete Horlicks of it. Like Evri/Hermes did recently with a Wiggle order of mine, delivering it a mere 4 months after it was ordered. That kind of thing, I suspect, tends to be remembered...

Oh awesome, so my Cervelo frame Evri 'lost' might still turn up then?!

  • With Evri, anything is possible. The depths of their incompetence have not yet been fully plumbed.

  • Came in to moan about my order from the 28th that's still not been shipped... hmm... I see I'm not alone....

  • It’s nuts isn’t, I ordered something Tuesday of last week. I got an unsolicited email this morning to remind me it would 7-10 days for dispatch!

  • But to what extent, do you no longer purchase with companies who uses Evri?

Seems our tolerance for crap service in this area is rather high.

  • Don’t they give you the option to pay for express delivery which uses DPD?

Haven’t you chosen Evri because it’s free?

  • My Hermes is very good, I blame Rapha.

  • The value of my order was relatively low so I still needed to pay for Evri.

My frustrations are more with the fulfilment service and dispatch times from the warehouse, something Rapha have significant control over, rather than final mile delivery.

  • I've had as many fuck ups with DPD, maybe even more. Highlight was a package being delivered a different house in a different postcode over a mile away and they even took a photo of it on the doorstep.

  • I've had nothing but great service from Evri. They do the wiggle plus stuff I order and I can only remember once the delivery not arriving within 24 hours. I've had wiggle plus 2 or 3 years and must order something from them at least once a month.

  • We use Evri at the retail company I work for and in the customer feedback, delivery and fulfilment is always the most negative marker/feedback.

We're not anywhere near premium as well, so even at the other end of the scale there is an expectation of when you pay your moneys, you gets your stuff (in good time).
