Commute snob in imperial shocker

Is there a way to start recording in strava app with preset settings? In Android there was a quick link to start recording, but in iOS I haven't found a way to start a ride as a commute without manually changing it after every single ride.

Could someone with Strava premium be so kind as to download this route for me?
-

To where?
It’s in my routes so let me know.

Ah, I’m trying to download the .gpx file so I can save it to my Garmin. Can’t work out how to do that.
EDIT - Thanks, I was able to do it from your link.

Ok. I’m cheap so:
Any way to get discounts on premium right now?

Might want to check your subscription if you pay for it. Mine hasn't increased but it's already not worth £7 to be honest, will immediately cancel if it goes up

I dont usually judge people but I judge people who pay for strava.

I just got a power meter and got overexcited by the prospect of More Data

Yeah I’m not sure £7 will make me want to cancel but to be honest the only premium thing I use is route planing which I’ve been very happy with given it’s veloviewer plug in.

What is this Veloviewer plugin stuff?

Just to add to the confusion, I pay £44.99 a year, (£3.75 / month) which seems to be slightly less than anyone else 🤷♂️

Positively, presumbably? Because they are the ones who are allowing those of you who are using it for free to continue to do so.

wait, strava doesent sell data?! Is it purely subscriber funded? Scary.

whats wrong with intervals.icu ?

I imagine the revenue it gets from selling data to local authorities accounts for less than 5% of it's costs.

Strava is one of those companies that could have done really well if they didn't think they were going to be the next Facebook or Uber.

And now Zwift is going to buy them.

Imo strava does what it does well, and it does what most people want it to too? Algorithmic feed happened, we grumbled, chronological feed came back. Sponsored rides/posts popped up, people grumbled, and they disappeared. Honestly really don't mind paying for an entirely ad-free service too.

Nothing other than I'd never heard of it before. You have to understand I don't "train"

I think Strava makes a fair bit of money for the sponsored events and challenges. I believe there quite expensive to 'sponsor'.

Strava is free and while it remains free I will upload the odd ride.
If Strava folded, I'm not sure I'd notice. Other than removing a bookmark or two my life wouldn't change a great deal.
