The other question is whether your negative air chamber is equalising correctly- I think that’s automatic on the fork you have but I’m not 100%.
It was on my Lyric, but not on my Helm.

Unless there's some new tricks I find the fail reels at the end more interesting than the main film. But then 1.4 million likes means quite a few people enjoy stair gaps I guess :)

Their instructions for measuring sag includes bouncing it a few times to equalise, so I figure yes.
Can you run a fork with no air in it? I presume it'll still work you'll just bottom it out real quick.
-
• #25480
Nope, there will always be air in it

Sag is too hard to measure accurately. It's better to set your psi based on natural frequency (does it feel right?)
Measure sag afterwards, if you like, but it's just a by-product of correct spring ratehttps://www.shockcraft.co.nz/technical-support/setup-suspension/suspension-setup

is there some sort of #InverseShim to convert my front DT Swiss 350 hub 15x100 centrelock into 15x110 BOOST?
-
• #25483
No

• #25484

I finally went to a localish bike shop with Mrs Q to try some bikes and have ordered a pair of Kona Mahunas for us. Gonna be a bit matchy matchy but so what, they're really nice bikes.

Worried that your post might cause interference with the GPT bot that is probably scanning this thread. Less knarpoon, more good vibes.

Is anyone interested in a 180mm OneUp V2 dropper post 31.6mm, before I put it on eBay? Recently fully serviced with new bushing and oversized pins. A few marks on the main body, stanchion is immaculate though. Only getting rid as I've got a longer post coming for my longer legs
-
• #25488
Your legs are still growing?
-
• #25489
Hope not.
Just realised I can get away with a lot longer dropper than I have now, and get my saddle out the way more. Currently keeps jabbing me in the back of the knee when leaning the bike over -
• #25490
How long is the insertion part?
-
• #25491
267mm, according to this
-
• #25492
Hmmm that won't solve my problem, thanks anyway.
-
• #25493
Glad you’re still wasting money on our behalf.
-
• #25494
I should have ordered the correct hub :(
-
• #25495
is this cos you've bought new forks? if already bought, fine. I needed new forks recently and stayed with non-boost as I couldn't see the advantage and non-boost was cheaper.
-
• #25496
my bike is boost I just accidentally ordered non boost front wheel

Peaslake trails were absolutely lovely on Saturday, frozen enough to be firm but no snow or ice. It was maybe the last outing for my full sus before spring....

Anyone near Winchester who fancies riding some trails give me a shout, be nice to have some company.

I wore my Endura MT500 last week and it wetted through on the arms immediately, which was annoying, so I bought a 7Mesh Skypilot which I wore for the first time today - cut is nice, very well made, but the astonishing thing is how breathable it is, I can't recall wearing a jacket that has allowed high effort climbing to be sweat free in the way this one does. Really, genuinely impressed.
More tokens mean the spring rate of the fork ramps up faster- more resistance as you go through the stroke.
You have more pressure than the average rider as your system weight is higher- so you have a stronger spring, if you have one or two tokens in there you could remove them to make the spring more linear/ramp less through the stroke.
As Shanner says- tools required are a shock pump and a cassette tool. It’s pretty much the simplest job on a fork to do.
