preference for gritting is always for drivers
I went for a long walk with my friend in the end, but we went down the Black Path (the cycle path round the back of the bakery in Leyton off Argall Way) and it had been cleared with a mini digger or similar judging by the tyre marks, so bonus points to Waltham Forest.

A Cadent engineer cut off our gas last night because of a suspected CO leak from the stove. What a time for that to happen, the flat is bloody freezing! (Although obviously it's better than slowly being poisoned.) Apparently they will send a space heater and a hotplate though which is quite sweet, didn't even know that was a service they offered. If there wasn't a train strike I would go to work at the hospital to stay warm.

We had the same thing but no one mentioned any space heater. Had to run the oven with the door open
Good for keeping the energy bills down though...

Visited rellies in Winchester at the weekend. Forecast was below freezing the whole weekend. The gritting teams had been out on mass and done an awesome job. Many of the minor unclassified roads had been done. Top marks.

Rode the mtb in this morning. Much fun through the snow on various commons until getting a flat on the Putney to Hammersmith towpath and realising I had the wrong tube in my bag. Less fun couple of miles walk into work.

A very common not thinking through before a bike ride.

I rode on the edge of a massive 'cleaning the bike' puddle the other day, prepared for a pothole. Pothole slammed the bars. Should've checked the bidon obvs. gone when I looked later.

Nah, we need the rain. I'd really like to be able to use a hose again sometime next year.
Edit: apparently I can. Shows much attention I've been paying. Sprays wildly

The Dark Sky website has finally melted away. Does anyone have recommendations for a worthwhile alternative? I've tried Met Office, Weather Underground, Ventusky, Weather.com, but none come close with regards to accuracy or interface.
no, cant be, preference for gritting is always for drivers
