Argonaut bought - what a thoroughly heartwarming thread this has become. Longtime lurker and appreciator, thrilled to be able to support, but not in a charitable way, in a 'I'd buy that fucking print anyway because its excellent' way. Also add me to the list of a London pub-based linocut workshop...

I’m lucky enough to have an illustration of Hugs n Flint by Luci in my copy of Pantone. It’s a thing of beauty.
I’d also do a lino workshop in London but I can’t draw for shit

There are three disciplines to traditional printmaking.
The artist, the carver, the printer. While you might struggle with the art, you have all the abilities of their other two disciplines.
My course would require the student to bring their piece of art or use a piece of art I supplied. It is a cutting and printing course, learning detail, technique, registration and colour. It is a printing course, not a pure artists course. You would smash it! -

I do have some sketches of Bogwanker, Scorcher & (I forget a bit now) but he was known as Devil but is actually Benny, my brother and fellow Kraken Cove podcaster. I’m or sure if anyone is interested in these drawings but I can post them and if any pervert is interested, I suppose a fiver a pop would be fun!

Swallow and green soot sprite arrived today.
Fucking amazing, cheers Matt.
Once I'm in my new place I'll take em to the local framers, best to get em done properly I think. -

Nautilus arrived today and the paper is lovely fancy art stuff with that artisanal open texture. Chef's kiss!

@General_Lucifer
Was chatting to a mate over the weekend, she’s 100% down for a lino class in a pub. Sounds like you might have enough willing victims by now to justify loading up the party panda. -

So glad you like it!! Thanks for the order!

While I make my prints ready for standard frames, on the whole, a professional framer really makes the print work. Floating a print with a good edge is a favourite of mine!

I didn’t realise those prints were going to a forumenger!! I would have offered discount!
Glad they got there safe, Jon, and thank you so much for buying! -

Found my way back here while scanning the Today section and just bought a digital copy of Pantone Blues (appropriately) from the Devil (aka Amazon) for the messily sum of 3.17 USD. Really looking forward to reading it!

I appreciate that, but was happy to pay asking price to get some beautiful original art and support your venture. Also my wife had a bit of a bonus from work - it was her treat!
It’s beautiful stuff. Just got to find a few simple frames and get them on the wall. -

Hey @General_Lucifer just started following you on IG - did you sell much of your work at that fair over the weekend?
Thinking of trying to sell some art myself and wondering how tough it is? -
• #5119
It can be tough selling at markets, depending what you’re selling and where.
Some markets I tried I made almost nothing, but the yokel selling fudge at the next stall sold out (thanks, Doncaster). Other places I’ve made a really good amount. You need to pick and choose your markets to fit your product & price point. You also need quality hardware if outdoors (professional gazebo, quality weights, good display set up, card machine). Got to work weekends which can be problematic, work outdoors in all weathers and you will sell nothing on very rainy days. But on good days it can be amazing, and it really suits me. Ironically, having a totally fucking awful job for 32 years makes most other jobs look quite attractive, be it selling art in Yorkshire market towns or wanking off horses for cash in front of a live studio audience. It’s all better than what I used to do. My top tips are to tolerate even the most nightmarish people with a smile, don’t sit on your phone for five hours and complain you didn’t sell anything, never start packing your stuff up until the very last second of the market and get a car bigger than a Fiat Panda. Good luck! -

Please tell me you are touring that show again soon.

Chatting with my new neighbour (I moved in crimble eve) a couple of months ago about stuff in general (no pun intended), I happened to mention a couple of prints I had, thought she was just being polite and humouring me, but no, she was actually keen.
Just been invited round for a brew, what do I find?
Excuse the shit photo (it's part of my usp).
Bring back rep.
