that's another thing you’ll need to attack with a hacksaw
I see, I see. It’s all been a bit of a hatchet job so far if I’m honest.
Thanks!

Trim your stays properly and you can save the plastic bit for your next hack.
-
• #115304
“Properly” so that the black bit fits?
-
• #115305
Yes. Black bit costs as much as the nut you'll lose without it. You can also apply beeswax to threads.
-
• #115306
No, the black bit is not necessary unless you leave the stays overlong.

Sure, if you don't mind it looking shite.
Also helps the nut from loosening. -
• #115308
Lol, the plastic hasn’t anything to do with holding the nut in place.
-
• #115309
Yeah but it does hide the excess stay you’re supposed to leave should you ever want to adjust the position of the guards.
-
• #115310
Inner tube valve caps make good substitute covers for the cut ends of the stays. Just tap them on till the metal bites into the plastic.

Don't suppose there is a compiled list of makers active on the forum?
Looking for people who have monetised their hobby in pursuit of cash that I can give them for christmas presents for my loved ones.

and piss £75 or £140 down the toilet when they don't issue my replacement passport because I haven't provided all the info needed?
-
• #115316
You piss that much away on Tim Tams in a sitting, take a chance.

I've never used those little things. They might stop you get scratched up if you're carrying your bike and haven't trimmed them far enough but chicks dig scars

+jellybaby thanks!
It's rather odd though as it makes sense for both passports should apply only to the first passport given that for a renewal all details would already be on record.
-
• #115319
Yeah but I'm happy giving them money whereas these border control / passport arseholes can suck it.
-
• #115320
P35s ? That's gonna still give you quite a lot of spray around the BB area.
P45 would have been the better choice.
-
• #115321
Yes, this is why passport and border control are shit
Things like when getting my visa renewed they ask for all the same information again.
"Yes, I'm still over 18"
"Yes, my parents and grandparents didn't change in the last 4 years"Wankers.

• #115322
They’re 45s

I feel ya, parents marriage cert and passports, my birth cert etc for my Right of Abode renewal.
Every.Fucking.5.Years.
-
• #115324
I would go 50s then if the frame allows.
I'm on 45s with 33s and yeah the splash isn't fun, been lazy and just putting off swapping the blades!

I spent another couple of grand and got my British Citizenship to get a euro passport and avoid this shit and then Brexit. Thanks cunts! So now they want my Aussie to renew the British one? Hard fucking no. The last cunts I want to give money to are the hostile border control pricks.
Trim your stays? Yes, of course, that's one of the things you bought your Dremel for.
