@dancing james if you're concerned about strength have you seen the post spinnout was replying to? I'm definitely not fat but am reasonably confident it'll deal with more kilos that it currently does.

Neat! Been meaning to make one as well. Is the base wide enough to get out of the saddle? Any reason for not turning it the other way?
Also, is your NDS crank arm ok?

I made a front wheel stand, does that count?
Cost was about £70 for the aluminium bits and £15 for the fork mount. It's probably over-engineered (I am not an engineer) but figured dentistry would likely be much more expensive.
Am sure you could do similar cheaper in a more DIY fashion, basically just need something solid and stable under the fork mount.
